Playing Catch Up

The past two or three months flew by!!! Sorry for all of the random pictures dumped in this entry, but they are my favorites and wanted to get them up before the kids graduate! ;-)

Florida!

Florida was fun. As you can see, we spent a lot of time at the beach. Pretty much everyone got a nice burn on our last day.

Triple Play!

Samuel had his first little league game and got a triple play as pitcher in the last inning! Also, Alice has freckles and Della's still cute.

Let's Go Rockhounds!!!

Today was the opening day for Fairfax's Little League. Samuel is playing T-ball for the first time and is on the Rockhounds Team. Every year for opening day the teams walk in a small parade and have an opening day ceremony. It was pretty cute seeing these little guys behind their team banners. Hope you enjoy!

Their first "When I grow up"s....

Earlier this week, Alice and I were on a walk and Alice unexpectedly told me that she wants to teach people how to play instruments when she grows up. Tonight, Samuel told me that he wants to be a police officer when he grows up and wants to live in the same block as us so he can still be near us and come over all the time. When did my kids get so big?! I'm sure this is just the start to many "when I grow up I want to be...", but I thought I'd share and treasure their very first ones!

A Few Easter and Cherry Blossom Pics

They're Growing Up So Fast!

Since Tif hasn't a posted in a while I thought I'd put this pic up. I use the mirror so Alice can see that she's holding the violin too low. See how well it's working?

And the winner is....

We participated in our very first Awana Grand Prix, on Saturday, and it was an exciting day had by all. Even little Wesley was (unintentionally) in the spirit of things with his little race car outfit. Having never done this before, Stephen and I had no expectations for anything more than participation ribbons for the kids. Boy were we surprised! Alice took home the 1st Place trophy for girl's speed and (out of nowhere) Samuel took home the 1st Place trophy for boy's design!!! These are their first trophies. Talk about two VERY excited kids! Mom and Dad were pretty excited, too! Good job, Samuel and Alice!!!
