Halloween 2007

Della was exceptionally cute this year. When Stephen asked her if she wanted to go out for Halloween she said, "No thanks". When he re-asked and said do you want to go out for candy she said, "Yeaaaah" in a tiny voice. The same went for whether she wanted to "put on a costume" vs. "dress up". Once she was finally mentally ready she exclaimed that we're going to a "candy party"! The best, however, was when she went up to each house with her hands held wide. I think she ended up with more candy than Samuel and Alice!
Wesley was silent the entire time. He sat back for the hour long ride just absorbing the sights.
And, as I'm sure it comes to no surprise, Samuel and Alice had a blast racing from house to house and seeing their friends in their costumes. The only downfall for them was having to wait on Della to keep up.

Our First Camping Trip

We went camping for the first time as a family (ok... the fishing pictures are from an earlier fishing trip, not this one!) Sorry for so many similar pictures, but the kids (particularly Alice) loved posing on the rocks. The scenery made for some great pictures. The fact that they love to have their pictures taken helped, too!

Wrapping up Our Summer Trip

We had lots of fun visiting with our cousins and family on both sides! You can see more pictures from our stop over at Pete and Noelle's on the Simons' Family Blog. As you'll see below, we wrapped up our trip with a stop for Dairy Queen on the way home :)

Doug and Rachelle's Wedding

We went home for a few days for my cousin Doug's wedding. We had a lot of fun and wished we could have stayed longer. There are a ton of pictures, so bear with me. In addition to the wedding, we spent an evening with some cousins I haven't seen in a few years and we stopped at Stephen's brother Pete's house for a night.

Alice begged for weeks to see her Great-Grandma Applegate. She was so excited when we finally go there!

Samuel was one of the ringbearers. Doesn't he look so grown up?!

Here is my cousin Doug and his mom (my aunt) Nola. They looked so great!

Here are Doug and Brad (his brother/best-man) looking good!

Alice was so happy that she got to dance with Rachelle. She thought Rachelle looked like a real princess :)

Congratulations Doug and Rachelle!
